From the first moment, the hearts of Marianna and Marco were only one seat away, theirs, it´s a love that was born in heaven and that will always make them fly. They met on a Toronto-Rome flight, in which fate placed them in the same row and in the middle of both, an empty seat, which would unknowingly become the step that would unite them for life.

Italy, football and Love

Marianna and Marco were born in two completely different places—Marco in Italy and Marianna in Venezuela. Despite Marianna being born in Venezuela, Marianna's father was actually Italian so italian is the couple’s favourite spoken language. Maybe God had always planned that these two lovers would meet!

Both Marianna and Marco share beautiful family values and they’re passionate about watching soccer together. Especially Marco. Playing soccer was a huge part of his life, and although he’s no longer on the field, he loves being able to share his passion with his soccer-loving wife!

The Next Flight

After three years together, Marianna and Marco decided it was time to take the next step as a couple and they began to plan the future wedding ceremony that would unite them for life. And since they’re from different countries, it was extremely important to be able to reunite their loved ones in the same place. So they decided to get married in another part of the world—Punta Cana—a place where all their loved ones would travel to celebrate alongside them for the most romantic moment of their lives.

An Unexpected Turn

Marianna and Marco both knew that their love would last a lifetime, so instead of officially proposing, they simply said to one another "let’s get married next year!" and began planning the big event. But, three weeks before the wedding date, Marco surprised Marianna with something romantic and completely unexpected. He knelt in front of her, holding a ring, and asked if she wanted to marry him. Marianna never expected Marco to officially propose, so she ecstatically said "YES!"

Love is in the Details

Marianna and Marco had a beautiful, open-air, Catholic ceremony full of unforgettable details. It was a moving tribute to their values of family and togetherness. The bride carried two cameos in her bouquet with photographs of her father and godmother, whose love truly blessed their union.

Decorations lined the venue with photos of friends and family and written details like cards and signs that Eva Rosalía, the niece of the bride, made herself. Stunning touches of rose gold complimented the traditional white wedding tones all around. Everything was beautiful and perfectly matched Marianna’s vision for her wedding day.

It only took stepping inside one single store for Marianna to find the dress that would accompany her to the altar. As she scanned the store’s dresses, a beautiful discovery struck her at first sight. Even though she knew it had to be the one, Marianna didn’t want to rush the process, so she tried on a few others. But, when she finally tried on that special dress, it was truly love at first sight.

The Best Landscape

To celebrate their wedding, at Wedding Storytellers, we packed our bags and traveled to the Caribbean, where the sun shines bright, the breeze is warm, and the landscapes are absolutely breathtaking. Marianna and Marco chose Punta Cana as the backdrop for their celebration, and it couldn’t have been a better place to enjoy Caribbean culture, the rhythm of Latin music, and delicious cuisine.

The colors of the Caribbean are unforgettable. Each photo we took became a stunning representation of the incredible love that Marianna and Marco share.

We were so thankful to be a part of this couple’s beautiful celebration and we’re excited to see where our craft of storytelling will take us next!
